Julian is a former professional soccer player from Argentina, now based in the Bay Area. His journey through the world of soccer has been marked by both significant challenges and triumphs, shaping him into the dedicated coach he is today. After a promising playing career that was unfortunately cut short by a second ACL injury at the age of 23, Garcia was faced with the difficult decision of leaving behind the game he had always dreamed of playing. However, he rediscovered his passion for soccer when he began coaching, realizing how much he valued sharing the knowledge and experience he had accumulated throughout his playing career.
Garcia's coaching approach is deeply influenced by the challenges and setbacks he faced as a player. His philosophy is rooted in empathy, passion, and a commitment to developing athletes not just as soccer players, but as individuals. Over the years, he has continued to invest in his professional development, earning his "C" License and preparing to begin his "B" License in 2024. Additionally, Garcia served as the Video Analyst for the Oakland Roots Soccer Club.
As a coach, Garcia is dedicated to creating an environment where players are empowered to reach their fullest potential. His commitment to developing young talent led him to launch his own clinic program, Elite Soccer Coaches, in 2023 with his partner Juan Felipe Galindo.
